As you know, it is BYOB. If you want mixed drinks you will have to bring your own mixers too. Once again, there will be a bartender there to handle all the alcohol.
Thanks for your cooperation, see you soon, Mark

Looks like we have a few more spots in the golf tournament. We would like to fill them up with classmates or their spouses/partners so if you want to or know of someone who wants to play let me or Troy Porter(801-718-6903) know.
Here's a little information about the food. There will be three salads; Fresh Fruit, Ceasar, and Oriental Chicken. Wild and long grain Pilaf. California Vegetable Medley-broccoli, cauliflower and baby carrots. The entree that you chose. Fresh breads and rolls, carbonated drinks and water. And all kinds of desserts. Gratuity and tax is included in the registration fee.
Once again, there will be a bartender there who will take your alcohol when you come in and will serve you throughout the night. Gratuity for him/her is not included.
Be sure to check back here because I think there will be a group photo and perhaps a CD of more photos available the night of the reunion. I don't have all the info yet, but soon.
Here's another invitation to you to e-mail me some old photos of your elementary classes, youth teams or dances or whatever has you and classmates in. I'd like to have them by this Sunday, 8-29. mcasper5@msn.com
Thanks,
Mark

Another thing. The dress for the evening is casual. If you want to wear something fancy, that's fine. If you want to come right after working on your car, that's fine. If you don't wash your hands I probably won't sit at the table with you, but you're still welcome. There will be no dress police and frankly, I don't even know exactly what "casual" is. I'm pretty sure it doesn't include a tie.

Here's a list of our classmates who have passed on as far as I know. My extreme apologies if a name is on here of one who is still living. We have received these names from different sources and really haven't been able to confirm all of them. Please let me know if there are others you know of.
It's very sad that some die too young. It's a hard thing for their families and us as friends to deal with. We make this list to honor those who didn't make it to our 30 year reunion. I know personally that Dennis Powell and Tammy Bumgarner would have both been to this reunion. Tammy even told me before she died that she wished we would have had a 25 year reunion so she could have seen everyone one more time.
Tammy Bumgarner, Debbie Brian, Allen Coleman, Kevin Deboard, Shane Dymock, Lauri Ehrler,
Karlene Ellsworth, Tim Hatch, Julie Koford, Lisa Konold, Annette Lemmon, Conrad Marquez, Melanie Parks, Dennis Powell, Mike Rasmussen, Guy Rushton, Millie Sadler, Sheri Snow,
Cheryl Street, David Wilson
Some people made our lives brighter just by being in them.

Hello all,
Thanks for visiting the Blog!
The invitations have all been sent out but if you know of others who are still on the list from a previous blog please let us know.
Here's some additional information to what is on the invitation. Because of some rules, and probably laws, that I don't understand, you will have to bring your own alcohol. There will be a bartender there to serve you. If you're not sure about what you can bring and how it needs to be handled there please ask in advance and we'll get the right answers. There is absolutely no drinking in the parking lot.
The date to have your money to me is August 14, but if you need a little more time just let me know...no problem.
The golf tournament is set up to have 8 foursomes. This is based on the participation in the last two reunion tournaments. You may make up your team as long as it consists of Cyprus Class of 80 grads and partners. Some of the money from the registration fee goes to clubhouse prizes and, of course, if you know of or have some connections for more prizes please contact Troy Porter. troyanita@msn.com
If you don't care who you golf with you will be as, fairly as possible, assigned to a team. Here's an idea of how it will work in Troy's own words:
"Rules: Basic four man scramble format. Use one drive per player, per nine. Some tournaments sell mulligans, but I don't like that. It adds too much to the cost. Maybe we could offer one free team mulligan for the 18 holes per team. Maybe not. All shots after the chosen shot must be within a foot of the original ball. No improving lies, no dropping out of hazards, bunkers or rough. No closer to the hole. If a team only ends up with three players, one of those three would be awarded one additional shot for a total of four shots per play, per team. That would be a basic scramble format tournament. Simple seems to work best for these kinds of tournaments. If I think of anything else I will let you guys know. " Troy
There will, of course, be long drives, closest to the hole, and all the other things included in typical tournaments.
As far as the food goes, we had to choose two entrees, so it was chicken and beef...how original. But those were the best ones. I've heard the food is good. We need to have a fairly accurate count of how many chicken and how many steaks we will need. We have to tell them about a week before the reunion.
More to come,
Mark

I kind of wonder if anyone is reading this because a couple people have said that the Blog address that was on the notice we sent out wasn't working. But then I heard it was. Nobody has responded to the last post either. We've really only updated one name since the last post, and that was because he happened to come to town. We have another meeting next Monday night to go over the invitations.
Diana has contacted a couple of motels nearby for those wishing to get a room. The Super 8 has a rate of $71.00 per night and the Comfort Inn is $79.00.
Troy Porter is putting together the golf tournament that will be held on the morning of the 11th. If anyone has some contacts where we can get some prizes for it please let us know. The tournaments we've had in the past have been way fun. I'm a terrible golfer but it doesn't matter. They always match me up with someone who can cover for me.
Someone let me know that you've actually read this!
