Here's a list of our classmates who have passed on as far as I know. My extreme apologies if a name is on here of one who is still living. We have received these names from different sources and really haven't been able to confirm all of them. Please let me know if there are others you know of.
It's very sad that some die too young. It's a hard thing for their families and us as friends to deal with. We make this list to honor those who didn't make it to our 30 year reunion. I know personally that Dennis Powell and Tammy Bumgarner would have both been to this reunion. Tammy even told me before she died that she wished we would have had a 25 year reunion so she could have seen everyone one more time.

Tammy Bumgarner, Debbie Brian, Allen Coleman, Kevin Deboard, Shane Dymock, Lauri Ehrler,
Karlene Ellsworth, Tim Hatch, Julie Koford, Lisa Konold, Annette Lemmon, Conrad Marquez, Melanie Parks, Dennis Powell, Mike Rasmussen, Guy Rushton, Millie Sadler, Sheri Snow,
Cheryl Street, David Wilson

Some people made our lives brighter just by being in them.

Hello all,

Thanks for visiting the Blog!

The invitations have all been sent out but if you know of others who are still on the list from a previous blog please let us know.

Here's some additional information to what is on the invitation. Because of some rules, and probably laws, that I don't understand, you will have to bring your own alcohol. There will be a bartender there to serve you. If you're not sure about what you can bring and how it needs to be handled there please ask in advance and we'll get the right answers. There is absolutely no drinking in the parking lot.

The date to have your money to me is August 14, but if you need a little more time just let me know...no problem.

The golf tournament is set up to have 8 foursomes. This is based on the participation in the last two reunion tournaments. You may make up your team as long as it consists of Cyprus Class of 80 grads and partners. Some of the money from the registration fee goes to clubhouse prizes and, of course, if you know of or have some connections for more prizes please contact Troy Porter. troyanita@msn.com

If you don't care who you golf with you will be as, fairly as possible, assigned to a team. Here's an idea of how it will work in Troy's own words:

"Rules: Basic four man scramble format. Use one drive per player, per nine. Some tournaments sell mulligans, but I don't like that. It adds too much to the cost. Maybe we could offer one free team mulligan for the 18 holes per team. Maybe not. All shots after the chosen shot must be within a foot of the original ball. No improving lies, no dropping out of hazards, bunkers or rough. No closer to the hole. If a team only ends up with three players, one of those three would be awarded one additional shot for a total of four shots per play, per team. That would be a basic scramble format tournament. Simple seems to work best for these kinds of tournaments. If I think of anything else I will let you guys know. " Troy
There will, of course, be long drives, closest to the hole, and all the other things included in typical tournaments.

As far as the food goes, we had to choose two entrees, so it was chicken and beef...how original. But those were the best ones. I've heard the food is good. We need to have a fairly accurate count of how many chicken and how many steaks we will need. We have to tell them about a week before the reunion.

More to come,

Mark
